Stretchkit as requested by @pinestripe37, I usually only draw adult cats and their designs but I don't get requests often and wanted to do this one!

The new cats!! Again!! Yeah uh, so since I did the new kits/apprentices in The Elder's Quest before information about all their parents came out, I felt I should revisit the ones that needed adjustments. Myrtle and Flip's kits didn't seem to need any changes, and the rest of them we knew their parents right from the get-go, so they're fine. First up is Moonpaw and The Voice! Voice is probably gonna get a proper name in the next book, making this slightly obsolete but idc anymore. I wasn't completely satisfied with Moonpaw's first design, so I kept chipping away at it and eventually came up with this. Orange on the body got simplified, black stayed mostly the same. A lot more moon imagery! I think her crescent moon ear tufts kinda look like antenna lol, but it's fitting. Voicepaw was going to be in the ref with Moonpaw but I ran outta room. She's spiky, like the star to her sister's moon. This is like the only time you're gonna see pure white on a character's design, and even now technically it isn't "white" it's just transparency. After, Heronkit and Eelkit; Heronkit got the arm thingy and a curled tail from her father, and Eelkit is the same, I like his design too much to change it rn <3. Then Rustlekit and Stretchkit; Rustlekit got eyelash markings from his father, and Stretchkit got the hair tuft thingys from her father's side, they show up on Whistle too. I also reworked the "white markings" on her face. Then Silkypaw and Fluffpaw, no -y on Fluffpaw!!, the dark paws are from their father, and the chest markings from their mother. I tried to make Silkypaw look a bit like his maternal aunt Swallowtail. I think Fluffpaw looks like a chipmunk here lol. Finally is Redpaw and Sprucepaw! A lot of Redpaw is the same, the tail and legs markings come from his mother, as well as the ear spots. I was aiming for an amber eye color but landed on that bright red instead and thought 'hey this looks good'. Sprucepaw gave me some trouble in the planning stages of the design, in the end I just sorta winged it and I quite like how it turned out. She's got a tooth gap :) The spiky pattern of the light on her face comes from her father, and on her body from Dove, her grandmother.

My girl Stretchkit is out of the race but she's still hoping Whistlebreeze might win :') (In the warriors sprite tournament by @amber-tortoiseshell) I used their wiki designs for this drawing of course, and it was fun! :D

I love these two <3 Whistlebreeze is trying to comfort little Stretchkit 🥺 but Stretch isn't upset about being out she'll just root for her auntie. :)

(The details came out quite tiny but she has changed her campaign sign from "pls vote for me I'm just a baby raccoon" to "pls vote for Auntie Whis")

Whistlebreeze is also helping her send out thank you cards to all her voters! :) She may not have won but she got some amazing support, I'm sure Stretchie appreciates every vote and all the love <3

The Elder's Quest Preview thoughts

Spoilers below!!

● Why don't they format the allegiances by age I was jumpscared by Bristleclaw so high up

● Why does Rapidsplash have her evil brother's prefix as her suffix? Why did they do that?? Poor girl

● Why is Floatshimmer a mom she was just a newborn baby?

● Stretchkit...I want them to win me over on this bad name with the best suffix imaginable. Stretchblossom, Stretchsky, Stretchcall...Stretchkit just sounds so odd.

● Birchfeather is kinda weird, I was hoping for Birchflower. Maybe it will grow on me.

● Needleclaw had babies :(

● Leafcurl is a cute name, please Leafcurl pov later on

● Ugh Clear Sky

● Tawnypelt's intro chapter reminded me why I used to dislike her. I was on Spireclaw's side the entire time I was reading...why are we doing this "the young cats don't listen to me and are so rude and disrespectful" again. Poolkit was cute though, I like her.

● I liked Leafstar's chapter. It's nice to see her acting like SkyClan's Destiny Leafstar, I missed her. Her plot seems the most interesting to me.

● The fear I felt when I thought we were getting another forced medic apprentice plotline. I still think it will happen later in the book though.

● Moonpaw's chapter has me worried that her arc could go down an ableist path. The treatment of Splashtail seeing Curlfeather in Star was already really uncomfortable for me to read and the dynamic in Moonpaw's head feels like it could echo that if the voice starts to influence her towards doing bad things. I have a feeling the voice is her dead sister but please no come on. Chimerism doesn't work like that, don't spread misinformation.

I enjoyed drawing my favorite kitties celebrating the Lord :D

Mistpool and Whistlebreeze writing the Good News in the sand, and of course they invited their littermates so Frost and Gray in the left corner and Flutter and Song on the left, and then there's little baby Stretchkit and she is Happy. :)

This picture was originally going to be just Mistpool but (turned into a celebration yay! :'D) since Whistlebreeze is the drawer in all my headcanons I realized it would make sense that Mist asked her friend to come help with the writing while Mist herself decorates- and Whistle is delighted to help & participate look at her tail!! (this part of my Whistlebreeze design is inspired by my irl cat Fifi and it was exciting to draw it- Whistle's tailtip goes floof when she's happy :D usually when she's with her friends or praising the Lord and here she is both so.. very happy Whis. :) And I used the same irl cat's video as a reference for little Stretch rolling around in the sand <3

Hi so uh, here are the rest of them! New apprentices and kits for every clan! Up first are Sunbeam and Nightheart's kits, Goldenpaw and Shinepaw. I'm pretty happy with how these two came out, if I go into every trait and where it came from I'd run outta room for this post 😅 Next is Redpaw and Sprucepaw from Shadowclan, unknown parentage. I tried to channel the classic light stripes on darker body from like 2013 era Warrior Cats with Sprucepaw. Then is Robinpaw and Starlingpaw, kits of Needleclaw and Kitescratch. I only noticed just now that Kitescratch's line has been named after birds which I think is adorable 💕💕 Then, Silkypaw and Fluffypaw (yes actually) from Windclan, unknown parentage. You forced my hand, here is what I consider to be silky and fluffy, though these are more on the extreme end. After is the new kits! First is Oakkit, Sunkit, and Hazelkit, children of Myrtlebloom, unknown father. Then Quickkit, Beechkit, and Poolkit, children of Lightleap and Blazefire. Poolkit is meant to be leucistic, it was the only way I could justify her being "white". Beechkit is the Tigerclone. And Quickkit looks like his great-grandfather. After them is Rustlekit and Stretchkit, children of Appleshine, and Heronkit and Eelkit, children of Floatshimmer. For all of the kits without a named father I have a best guess in mind, but it was still frustrating bc I'd want to use a trait from the father's line, but I want those traits to stay unique to that line, and without confirmation I can't give the trait to the kit. Blergh.

Stretchkit & a Numbat

Because I quite suddenly realized little Stretchkit totally just looks like a numbat in kitten form, and so I wanted her to be friends with one 🥺

(Aaahh I love numbats so much- God's beautiful adorable creations!! <3)

(This numbat is an OC that I'm planning to introduce in my Ivypool's Heart rewrite- because of course I included my favorite animal as one of the exotic creatures they meet and rescue from the the zoo place. The cats call it a "stripe squirrel" and Mistpaw is obsessed with its cuteness and Whistlepaw ends up adopting & taking it home. And now it's a perfect little playmate for Stretchkit- they are best friends :)

Andd I was trying to make them look like Stretchkit is giving the numbat her paw to lick.. but I just realized it looks more like they're high-fiving. Or doing a secret handshake. 😅 I like it. XD
